Guillaume Desjardins III son of Guillaume Roy dit Desjardins II and Marie Louise Suliere born March 31, 1765 married Marguerite Fontaine on July 31, 1797 at Assumption Church, sandwich, Ontario.
Guillaume Desjardins III was the one who dropped the dit name "Roy" from our surname, thus makeing his surname "Desjardins"
Marguerite Fontaine was the daughter of Charles Fontaine and Elizabeth Godfroy dit st. Georges, born 1779 at Sandwich, Ontario. Marguerite's father lived with a Mic Mac Indian on Walpole Island after her mother's death. Marguerite died 1802 when Guillaume Desjardins IV was born.

Guillaume Desjardins married a second time to Terese Bienvenu dit Delisle daughter of Charles Francis Bienvenu dit Delisle and Terese Campau on May 1, 1804 at Assumption Church, Sandwich, Ontario. Terese was born April 17, 1789 at Sandwich, Ontario and died May 21, 1858 at Escore, Wayne, Michigan, U.S.A.
